One of my favorite events to photograph was Clemson Pi Beta Phi’s Fraternity Day of Service, where members hosted an annual free book fair for students at a Title I elementary school. It was incredibly rewarding to capture moments surrounding the distribution of over 600 books and 1,100 goodie bags, as well as the genuine joy and interaction between volunteers and students. From candid to more structured shots, I focused on telling the story of the day while remaining mindful of the students’ privacy and protecting their identities whenever possible.
