FFA New Horizons

In 2024, I represented the state of Texas at the 97th Annual National FFA Convention & Expo, where my team placed 3rd overall in the Agricultural Communications Career Development Event after earning 1st in state. This competition challenged participants to apply real-world skills across writing, design, and electronic media through a simulated news conference and a series of individual and team practicums.

As part of the event, I designed a magazine spread intended for FFA New Horizons, featuring the company Make48. My approach focused on aligning closely with the publication’s existing visual identity by studying and replicating design elements such as layout structure, color usage, and signature horizontal stripe borders to maintain brand consistency. My design was recognized as one of the top two highest-scoring layouts of the day, highlighting my ability to merge creativity with strategic brand alignment.
